Well, previously, Fortune Cheese Cookies was often found in public places, such as restaurants and homes. This cookie is wrapped in plastic and contains a piece of paper inside it. It is on this paper that there is a fortune writing for the person who eats it. Before it was named Fortune Cookie, this cookie was called Tea Cake.
However, after World War 2 this cake was renamed fortune cake aka Fortune Cookie. The writing on the paper in this cake is often also believed to be motivational words for those who ate it.
Although this cake is more commonly found in China and on Chinese New Year events, it turns out that Fortune Cookie does not come from the Bamboo Curtain Country!
